A little about me.
Hi there,
I started drawing when I was a small child. Around the age of 12 my step mother taught me how to sew and my grandmother in rolled me into my first painting class. Eventually I made my way into California State University, Long Beach, where I pursued an education in both Illustration and Graphic Design. I went to school full time, worked a part time job, and did freelance work all through college. I graduated in 2005 with a BFA in Illustration.
I often don’t realize how long I have been drawing/painting/sewing until I try to write up a short synopsis of my career and find it difficult to keep it short. A couple years ago I took up knitting as a hobby and currently I try to sell my original knitting designs at http://www.keisergraphics.com/knitting.html. At the same time I am constantly working on various illustration projects and doing graphic design for my clients. I am often quite busy.
My personal life is very simple. I live with my husband, whom I adore, and our wonderfully silly two cats. I like to play Dungeons & Dragons with my friends on the weekends and love to spend my Wednesday nights with my girlfriends knitting. I have huge goals, like owning my own home in Southern California, and eventually having my own art show. I’d like to one day be able to not have a day job. I don’t know if I will ever reach my goals, but I’m not sure that is the point. I rather like the adventure of trying.
